Founded in 1956, the American Women's Association of Hong Kong (AWA) is a non-profit, charitable organisation. As a voluntary organisation of women, they support Hong Kong charities and schools through community service and monetary grants whilst also providing educational and social activities for their members.
Membership of the AWA is open to all women who reside in Hong Kong, regardless of nationality. As a truly international organisation, the AWA has over 7'000 members representing 30 countries around the world, with numerous volunteer committees and social activities to choose from throughout the year.
